Mark Gevisser

Mark Gevisser is a South African author and journalist. His new book, The Pink Line: The Worlds Queer Frontiers (Farrar, Straus and Giroux), will be published in 2019. His previous books include Lost and Found in Johannesburg: A Memoir (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2014), and the award-winning A Legacy of Liberation: Thabo Mbeki and the Future of the South African Dream (St. Martin’s Griffin, 2009). His work has appeared in

Granta, The New York Times, The Guardian and The Nation, among many others. He lives outside Cape Town.
