John Tranter published more than twenty collections of verse. His collection Urban Myths: 210 Poems: New and Selected (UQP, 2006), won a number of major prizes. His last two major publications were Starlight: 150 Poems (UQP, 2010) and Heart Starter (Puncher & Wattman, 2015)

He is the founding editor of the free Internet magazine Jacket (www.jacketmagazine.com).
