Emma Ashmere

Emma Ashmere lives in northern New South Wales. She holds a PhD in English from La Trobe University investigating the use of marginalised histories in fiction, and an MA in creative writing from the University of Adelaide.

She has worked in arts and university administration, and as a researcher for several books about Australian gardening history, and women and empire.

Some of her short stories have appeared in the Age, Sleepers Almanac and Etchings. Her first novel, The Floating Garden, is being published by Spinifex Press in 2015.
