Amanda Lohrey writes fiction and non-fiction. She is the author of several novels, including the award-winning Camille’s Bread, and two Quarterly Essays.

Her most recent publication is her first collection of stories, Reading Madame Bovary (Black Inc 2010).

She is a former Senior Fellow of the Literature Board of the Australia Council and has taught Politics at the University of Tasmania, and Writing and Textual Studies at the University of Technology, Sydney and the University of Queensland.
