Sarah Kanake teaches creative and professional writing at QUT. Her short fiction has been published in The Southerly, Kill Your Darlings, Award Winning Australian Writing and The Lifted Brow. Her work has been shortlisted for the Overland Short Story Prize, won the QUT Postgraduate Writing Award and has been longlisted for The Australian/Vogel Literary Award. She is a 2024 winner of the Queensland Writers Fellowship and the Eleanor Dark Flagship Fellowship. Her debut novel, Sing Fox to Me, is published by Affirm Press.
