Nicole Hayes

Nicole Hayes is an author, speaker and podcaster based in Melbourne. Her debut novel, The Whole of My World (Random House, 2013), was the first novel about footy written by a woman, and the first featuring a female fan. Her second novel, One True Thing (Random House, 2015), was awarded the Children’s Peace Literature Award in 2015, is a 2016 CBCA Notable book, and has been shortlisted for the Western Australia Premier’s Literary Award. Most recently, she co-edited an anthology of writing, From the Outer: Footy Like You’ve Never Heard It (Black Inc., 2016) with Alicia Sometimes. She is an ambassador for the Stella in Schools Program and runs writing workshops for different organisations and schools around the country.
