Melissa Fagan is a writer, editor and teacher living in northern NSW, on unceded Bundjalung Country. Her book, What Will Be Worn (Transit Lounge) was published in 2018 and longlisted for the Mark and Evette Moran nib Literary Award in 2019. Her award-winning short fiction and nonfiction has appeared in publications including ISLANDOverlandKill Your Darlings, and Causeway/Cabhsair: A Magazine of Scottish and Irish Writing. Melissa was awarded her doctorate in creative writing from Curtin University and the University of Aberdeen in 2024.
