In 2016 Matthew Wengert co-curated an exhibition of Indigenous ceramics at the State Library of Queensland, and in 2017 he managed the ReFire Pottery project at Cherbourg’s Ration Shed Museum, re-introducing this art form thirty years after the original Barambah Pottery closed. He is a 2018 Griffith Review Fellow.
