Matthew Klugman is the deputy leader of the Sport in Society Research Program at Victoria University’s Institute of Sport, Exercise and Active Living. He researches and teaches in the history of sport, and his most recent book is Black and Proud: The Story of an Iconic AFL Photo (NewSouth, 2013) with Gary Osmond.
