Jillian Pattinson is an Australian writer based in Melbourne.

Her poems have been published in the Australian Book Review, Meanjin, Going Down Swinging, Island, Blue Dog, Antipodes, Quadrant, Famous Reporter, Poetrix, The Best Australian Poems 2007, Motherlode: Australian Women’s Poetry 1986–2008, and the Newcastle Poetry Prize anthologies.

Jillian won the 2009 Doris Leadbetter Melbourne Poetry Cup and the inaugural UTAS Place and Experience Poetry Prize 2010. In 2010, her poems were shortlisted for the ABR and Josephine Ulrick Poetry Prizes.

She is currently working on her first collection of poetry with an Emerging Writers’ grant from the Australia Council.
