Jane Jose is the author of Places Women Make (Wakefield Press, 2015), which won the Australian Institute of Architects 2016 National Bates Smart Award for Architecture in Media. A former Deputy Lord Mayor of Adelaide, she also worked as a journalist with the ABC before establishing a career as an urban strategist, working nationally. She now lives in Sydney, where she is the chief executive of the Sydney Community Foundation and its Sydney Women’s Fund.
