Ian Rose is a formerly London-based actor who migrated to Australia in 2007. 

He has been working as a freelance writer since then, his Tree Change column appearing in the recently folded Melbourne Magazine with The Age. 

He continues to write features, columns and reflective pieces for The Age and the Sydney Morning Herald, and occasionally claims to be working on a first novel.
