Gwilym Croucher is a higher education analyst and researcher in the Melbourne Centre for the Study of Higher Education at the University of Melbourne.

A Fulbright scholar, he has been a chief investigator on Australian Research Council and other grants, and his latest book (with James Waghorne) is Australian Universities: A History of Common Cause, published by UNSW Press.
