Alison Martin is a doctoral candidate researching deep time in literary fiction. Alison received a Writing NSW Fellowship and a Faber Academy scholarship for her novel‑in‑progress. Her work has been shortlisted for the Peter Carey Short Story Award, the Neilma Sidney Short Story Prize and the Woollahra Digital Literary Award, among others, and has appeared in The Saturday Paper, The Guardian, Huffington Post, Overland, Westerly and Seizure. She teaches history and is a former humanitarian worker and political adviser, holding master’s degrees in human rights law and policy and in cultural and creative practice.
