Ali Alizadeh’s books include the new work of fiction Transactions (UQP, 2013), the collection of poetry Ashes in the Air (UQP, 2011), shortlisted for the 2012 Prime Minister’s Literary Awards, and the creative memoir Iran: My Grandfather (Transit Lounge, 2010), shortlisted for the 2011 New South Wales Premier’s Literary Awards.

He is a lecturer in Creative Writing at Monash University, where he is also the director of the Centre for Australian and Postcolonial Writing.
