Susan Forde is a professor of journalism and director of the Griffith Centre for Social and Cultural Research at Griffith University. She was lead investigator on an Australian Research Council project to record activist voices about the history of the Queensland land rights movement. Prior to joining academia, she was editor of the monthly newspaper Land Rights Queensland and Brisbane correspondent for the national Indigenous newspaper Koori Mail.
