Stephanie Short was head of the School of Public Health at Griffith University. She has qualifications and experience in physiotherapy and sociology.

She has written extensively on the sociological aspects of health care and is perhaps best known as the co-author ofHealth Care and Public Policy (Macmillan Australia, 2000), now in its third edition.

Stephanie joined the Law and Justice Research Centre in the Faculty of Law at the Queensland University of Technology as an Adjunct Professor in September 2007.
