Simi Linton

Simi Linton is a New York-based writer and disability activist. Her memoir, My Body Politic (2005) was published by The University of Michigan Press and she is also the author of Claiming Disability: Knowledge and Identity(New York University Press, 1998). She is currently working on a documentary film based on the memoir.

As an undergraduate, she attended Columbia University in New York City, and earned her bachelors degree in Psychology. She went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Psychology from New York University.
