Sarah Perkins-Kirkpatrick is a Senior Lecturer/ARC Future Fellow at the Climate Change Research Centre, UNSW Sydney. As a climate scientist specialising in extreme events, her expertise focuses on heatwaves – how to measure them, how they have changed, how they will change; and employing detection and attribution methods to understand how climate change is influencing heatwaves and their impacts.
