Sam-Alexander

Samuel Alexander is a research fellow with the Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute and a lecturer with the Office for Environmental Programs, University of Melbourne.

His recent books include Urban Awakenings: Disturbance and Enchantment in the Industrial City (2020) and Degrowth in the Suburbs: A Radical Urban Imaginary (2021), both co-authored with Brendan Gleeson and published by Palgrave. He is currently co-editing a collection of essays called Post-Capitalist Futures.

His essay ‘A prosperous descent’ is published in the exclusive ebook Imagining the Future: Notes from the frontier.
