A business journalist for thirty-eight years, Rod Oram worked for publications in Europe and North America such as the Financial Times before immigrating to New Zealand in 1997.

He is currently a newspaper columnist, broadcaster, public speaker and chair of the Hikurangi Foundation, which helps develop sustainable social enterprises.
