Lilian Pearce is an early career researcher in the fields of geography and environmental history. Publications from her doctoral thesis Critical Histories for Ecological Restoration (Fenner School, Australian National University) received the 2016 Mike Smith Prize (National Museum of Australia) and the Ken Inglis Postgraduate Prize (Australian Historical Association). She works at the University of Tasmania, RMIT and La Trobe University.
