Fay Zwicky taught English and American literature at the University of Western Australia for many years. Her second collection of poetry, Kaddish and other poems (UQP, 1982), won the New South Wales Premier’s Poetry Award, and her later collections Ask Me (UQP, 1990) and The Gatekeeper’s Wife (Brandl & Schlesinger, 1997) received the Western Australian Premier’s Poetry Award.
