Elizabeth Leane is Professor of English in the College of Arts, Law and Education at the University of Tasmania, where she is also associate dean of research and performance. She is arts and culture editor of The Polar Journal and a past Australian Antarctic Arts Fellow.

Her publications include Antarctica in Fiction as well as South Pole: Nature and Culture and Anthropocene Antarctica.
