David McKnight

David McKnight is a senior research fellow at the Journalism and Media Research Centre at the University of NSW.

His most recent book is Rupert Murdoch: An Investigation of Political Power (Allen & Unwin, 2012), published in the UK and US as Murdoch’s Politics. His book on the Cold War in Australia, Australia’s Spies and their Secrets (Allen & Unwin) won the 1994 NSW literary prize for nonfiction.

He is currently working on a co-authored book, Big Coal, on the power of the coal industry and Australia’s status as a major global exporter of coal.
