Robin Hemley is the author of eight books of fiction and nonfiction and the winner of numerous awards for his writing, including the Guggenheim Fellowship, two Pushcart Prizes, the Nelson Algren Award for Fiction from The Chicago Tribune, and many others.

He has two books forthcoming next year, one on writing craft from The University of Georgia Press and his third collection of short stories, Reply All, from Break Away Books.

He is also the author of the popular writing craft book, Turning Life Into Fiction (Graywolf Press, 2006) and a book on a purported anthropological hoax in the Philippines: Invented Eden (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2003), which is being made into a feature film by the BBC.
